They do claim that on the site, I think. I'm not sure if it's every single pillow but the whole point is spinal alignment. Felt pretty good to me anyway.

U-shape is more like a full cocoon, you're nestled in it. C-shape is good if you like to keep one side open or maybe use it more for nursing later.
